Charleston's wealth and development were built through the labor and displacement, and exploitation of enslaved African people. The impact of the history continues to shape land ownership economic opportunity and racial inequality through out the region today.
Reparative justice isn't only about acknowledgment its about healing and building toward community self determination and long term equality.
